GB PLATINUM VAYA i-SIZE BEST IN CLASS

Bayreuth, October 2017 – gb Platinum Vaya i-Size is member of the leading group in the European test of child car seats performed by Stiftung Warentest and ADAC. The gb child car seat received a “Good” with the final grade „2,3” and is best in class until 4 years. The gb Platinum Vaya i-Size now catches up with the gb Platinum Idan, which received a „good“ ​ in 06/2017 from the leading testing institutions in Europe as well.

The following factors tipped the scales for the grade granted:

· Safety: Maximum side-impact protection and an energy-absorbing shell guarantee the best possible safety for children in case of a side-impact. The Energy Reduction-Technology (ER-Tech) reduces forces on the neck in a head-on collision and protects the sensitive neck and shoulder region of a child. ADAC finds that the gb Platinum Vaya i-Size has a very low risk of injury in a side collision and gives a 1,8 for safety.

· Handling: The gb Platinum Vaya i-Size can be easily turned to the car door thanks to the 360° rotation mechanism. This way parental backs are being spared at boarding and alighting. The „one-click“ ISOFIX system makes it very easy to install the car seat in the correct way. Any misuse during the installation is minimal.

· Ergonomics: The one-hand recline function offers maximum comfort and a restful sleep on long car rides. The 12-position height adjustable headrest offers protection that grows with the child. Ergonomics achieved a 1,9 in the test.

The gb Platinum Vaya i-Size can be used rearward- as well as forward-facing. gb recommends to transport children in the rearward-facing position as long as possible (up to approx. 105 cm). The car seat is suitable for a forward-facing position for children from the age of 16 months and a height of approx. 76 cm to 105 cm.

The gb Idan performed well in the May test 06/2017 in group 0+ with a score of 1,8. ​
